AWC Bestows Sixth/Seventh Honors on Podcast Inspiring Women in Tech

Bloomfield Hills, and Grand Rapids, Michigan – The Association for Women in Communications (AWC) has just recognized winners of its esteemed 2020 Clarion Awards competition. Technology leaders, Nicole Scheffler (@tech_nicole) and Kathleen Norton-Schock (@katensch), co-founders/co-hosts of 5-year-old Diva Tech Talk, were honored for the sixth and seventh time for communications excellence. Their robust podcast series emphasizes lessons learned and wisdom gained from the lives and careers of established and emerging women tech leaders. Its powerful, timely goal is to drive diversity and accelerate female inclusion in technology leadership roles, at all ages and career stages.

The empowering Diva Tech Talk podcast series received two Clarions for a continuous, mission-driven body of work.  The first recognizes its illuminating coverage of women’s issues; the second is for innovative podcasting. The co-founders’ laser-focus on achieving parity and “extending the voice” of women in tech, has produced a timeless, fascinating library of tech-oriented women’s lives, challenges, and victories.

For more than 40 years, the AWC Clarion Awards have recognized small business, large corporate, nonprofit, agency and government communication specialists internationally who demonstrate excellence in clear and concise communications. As one of the most prestigious competitions of its kind in the country, the 2020 competition attracted entries from 20 states and two countries, with entries judged by teams of experts from all aspects of the marketing and communications fields.
